Our point of view

Great creative work needs personality. Great production work needs clarity. We refuse to choose between them.

We care about worlds with a recognizable voice, systems that can be maintained, and collaborations where people know what is happening. That combination shapes both our original games and the way we support client teams.

01

Own the outcome

We focus on what must become true—not on filling a predetermined number of hours.

02

Say the useful thing

Clear communication beats reassuring ambiguity. Risks belong in the open.

03

Fit the project

We shape the team and process around the actual work instead of forcing a fixed agency model.

04

Leave a path forward

Our work should make the next decision easier, even after our engagement ends.

Founder-led. Specialist-powered.

Jonathan Cohen founded Chick Meow Studios in 2013 after studying Game Art and Character Design. His goal was to recapture the spirit of retro games through modern characters, systems, and production.

He brought together friends with complementary creative and technical strengths—an evolving group that became known as the Chick Meow Crew. Today, that same instinct guides the studio’s original worlds and focused production partnerships.
